6 Bullet Journal Layouts to Organize Your Life

In this blog post, I’ll share with you a few of my favourite and most used bullet journal layouts.

I used to use regular planners, but never found a layout that I truly loved. That’s why I love bullet journaling- it allows you to be creative and flexible with your planning! You can design your own bullet journal layouts to make them exactly what you want.

Getting Started

Before you start designing your bullet journal layouts, you’ll need a few basic materials. Here’s what I use:

  • Black Leuchtturm 1917 book – this book is great because it has a dotted pattern, which helps when designing layouts and writing on a straight line too.
  • Stencils – if you aren’t great at free-handing (like me), stencils will help you draw fun shapes and boxes on your layouts.
  • Coloured pens – making the layouts colourful is always fun!

Now….onto the layouts!

Best Bullet Journal Layouts

1. Packing List

Having a packing list will make your life so much easier when you travel. I have different packing lists for weekend trips, summer trips, winter trips…there’s so many options.

2. Habit Tracker

A habit tracker is a great way to keep you motivated if you’re looking to add or maintain some healthy habits in your life. I like to write out the habits in order (starting with morning habits and ending with evening habits) to get myself used to the routine. I love that you can really clearly see areas you need to work on at the end of the month!

3. Weekly Plan

This is one my most frequently used bullet journal layouts! I like to have a “to do” section and an “events” section, but you could easily swap these out for different headings too. Having to do lists are key for me – if I write it down, I’m so much more likely to actually get the task done!

4. Monthly Layout

This layout gives you a snapshot of your upcoming month! You can use it to map out major deadlines, set your intentions for the month, and highlight your most important tasks.

5. Meal Plan

If you don’t already meal plan, I highly recommend it! It helps me reduce my food waste (I only buy ingredients I will use), and saves me from wondering what I’m going to make for dinner that night. You may prefer to only plan out dinners, but I like to do all 3 meals.

6. Birthdays

One thing I really wanted to work on this year was making more of an effort on birthdays. Whether that’s mailing a card, or just remembering to call, this bullet journal page keeps reminders of everyone’s special days in one spot.
